GeoWells International Limited, headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, is located at the heart of Africa. With approximately 20 years of experience, our company employs experts who have worked globally in Europe, the United States, Australia, Africa, and the Middle East. We provide a wide range of services to the natural resources industry in Africa, including Drilling and Tools, Mining and Minerals, Transmission and Distribution, Renewable Energy, Government and Defense, Support Services, Transport, and Infrastructure, Oil and Gas, Power and Industrial Services, and Ventures business segments.
As a technology-driven engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company, we distinguish ourselves from others. We take pride in our history and strive to maintain a leading market position in the government and infrastructure sectors by being a low-cost, high-efficiency, and reliable service provider. GeoWells International Limited is also an industry leader in transforming hydrocarbon resources into value across all sectors of the energy and chemicals industries.
Through partnerships with other corporations, we design and construct energy and petrochemical projects using the latest and best process and design technologies. We seek to establish a solid position as a partner to water, mining, oil and gas, and geothermal owners, investors, developers, and operators in meeting the ever-increasing demand in the field.
Just over 5 years ago, our founders, along with a handful of engineering professionals and employees from other reputable organizations, shared a dream of creating an industry-leading firm dedicated to making Africa a better place. On May 9, 2009, GeoWells International was incorporated by merging two other firms, becoming an independent company. While our official founding was in 2006, some of our predecessor firms had distinguished histories dating back to the early 1980s.
Today, we are recognized as the fastest-growing EPC company in Africa, with our talented employees, including architects, engineers, designers, planners, scientists, and management professionals, serving clients in more than 7 countries throughout Africa. Our employees originate from the oldest and largest EPC company in the world.
GeoWells International’s technical expertise and creative excellence come from the rich history of some of our people who have previously worked in the world’s finest engineering, environmental, construction management, planning, and design companies. From transportation, energy, and water systems to enhancing environments and creating new buildings and communities, our vision remains constant – to make the world a better place.
What sets us apart is our collaborative way of working globally while delivering locally. As a trusted partner to our clients, we bring together teams of engineers, planners, architects, landscape architects, environmental specialists, economists, scientists, and consultants, cost construction, project, and program managers. We are dedicated to finding the most innovative and appropriate solutions to create, enhance, and sustain the world’s built natural, and social environments. We are proud to partner with governments and lead in creating and providing solutions to the natural resources sector in Africa.
We aim to be a trusted partner to owners, investors, developers, and operators in the energy, mining, and geothermal sectors, delivering value through cutting-edge technologies and industry-leading practices.
At GeoWells International, our core values drive all aspects of our work. It is crucial to incorporate these values into our daily tasks and make them an integral part of our culture for future success. Our values define our identity and beliefs.

As funding gaps for infrastructure projects continue to rise worldwide, Public-Private Partnerships (PPP or P3) are becoming an increasingly valuable solution to the financial and administrative constraints of the public sector. However, in order to fully realize the benefits of P3, all participants and stakeholders must clearly understand the risks, requirements, and opportunities involved.
GeoWells International has established a P3 Advisory practice to address these needs and provide seamless integration of technical, economic, and contractual expertise across all asset classes and P3 markets. Our in-house experts offer a full range of services required for the management and delivery of PPP bids, as well as support for other infrastructure procurement, refinancing, or development activities. We draw our greatest strength from our diverse and world-leading technical capabilities, allowing us to call on experts in every field from Clean Energy to zero-emission buildings, or from airport planning to container port optimization.
As a P3 advisory service provider, GeoWells International offers several key advantages, including world-leading technical and traffic & revenue forecasting expertise, a global footprint of local resources, and sociopolitical/legislative insight. Our P3 Advisory practice serves as a single point of contact within GeoWells International for our strategic partner, Swiss Infrastructure Fund, with a mandate to identify and support investment opportunities that fall within its remit.
This is a process where our current employees are involved in the recruitment of new talent. This approach helps us to create a strong team culture, improve our retention rates, and increase diversity by leveraging the networks of our existing employees. This has also enabled us to identify individuals who are a good fit for our organization’s culture and values.
